From the Desk of President

Dear Members,

Let me take this opportunity to express to you my heartiest thanks. On 18 November 2008, you elected me as President of our illustrious Bulk Drug & Allied Dealers Association for the three-year term of 2008-2009, 2009-2010 and 2010-2011.

During these past four months since the election, our Association has taken up a
number of issues, including arbitration (that is, settlement of issues between Fellow members

as well as between Members and non-members) concerning our market. We have seen inflationary trends and we are now dealing with the all-pervasive global financial recession, which has adversely affected our members directly or indirectly.

The publication of this Association diary has given me an occasion to communicate with you for the very first time. And I take great pleasure in introducing to you the 37th edition of our diary, for the year 2009-2010. These diaries have always been admired by all our members. I’m certain you will find this edition to be of great use too and will consider it a gift worth
presenting to friends, relatives and patrons.

I would also like to take this chance to express my gratitude to all our advertisers and well-wishers. Their valuable cooperation has allowed this diary to be published with much success.

I also owe compliments to my colleagues and to the Diary Committee headed by Shri Ashok D. Shah - their strenuous efforts have succeeded in bringing this diary out on time. The staff of the Association also deserves our heartfelt thanks for the effort they have put in towards the publication of this Diary.

While the Association has tried to include all the important information that may be relevant to our members in this diary, we welcome any suggestions from you for the next edition. Please feel free to communicate with us.

On behalf of our Managing Committee and from myself, I would like to express my appreciation to all the members for their spontaneous co-opreation and assistance in fulfilling the multiple activities of the Association. I wish you all good health and a very prosperous new financial year.
